my tank has developed a white haze, not milky, but foggy. I treat water changes with prime and stress zyme. There is not bad oder, or any algae growth that I can see, I treated it with clarify and it got worse and turned green, any ideas or toughts, or perhaps suggestions? Could the heat have ruined my conditioners?

did your town flush the hydrants lately?
Add anything to the community water supply?

When you can rule out everything else, I would imagine that (judging by the "green" you describe) the water supply was infused with something "new".

Could be nitrates, could be phosphates.

I would pick up a box filter and put some filter charcoal in there along with a hunk of filter floss. I never used to think anything of those box filters but I tell ya, they work like a charm for clearing bizarre water problems like this, and they're cheaper than a diatom filter.

I did a 90% water change, and now the water looks like poland spring. I'm not sure what it was, but it looks great, tests great, so who knows what it ws, I think int may have been bad conditioners or something. I'll see how it looks tomorrow, last water change it took a couple of hours to get hazy.
