Description

This talk is by Bill Gill, president of the Boston Guppy Club and a member of the IGEES (International Guppy Education and Exhibition Society) The talk includes a brief history of guppy breeding highlighting recent scientific studies which have impacted the hobby. Also included is a review of the hobby worldwide including an overview of many of the strains developed. Breeding strategies disease treatment and prevention as well as alternate methods of guppy husbandry are also discussed.

Scott Dowd at the New England Aquarium has notified us that there is a lecture in our usual room from 7-8pm on June 21st.
We've decided that the easiest way to handle this is as follows:
If you show up before 8pm - please be polite and quiet and do not disturb the folks trying to listen to the lecture !
We will setup our usual check-in for bags of fish (etc) in the small side room - other than that, we are asking that folks either quietly attend the lecture (and don't walk in halfway, if you're going to attend, please do so at 7pm) or relax along the waterfront.
