From the pond snails that infest our planted tanks to the stunning Tridachna that are the centerpiece of many reef aquaria, mollusks are an important group of animals for aquarium keepers. This talk examines the mollusks that are available in the trade and that aquarium keepers are likely to encounter in both fresh and marine aquaria. We will cover the bivalves (clams, mussels and scallops), gastropods (snails) and cephalopods (octopus and squid). You will come away knowing which ones to keep, which to avoid, and how to get rid of the pesky ones.
