The Breeder's Award Program

The BAP is a recognition program that encourages the propogation and distribution of aquarium fish to club members. Members bring in fish they have bred and fill out a short BAP Form. The bag or bags of fish should contain a reproductive unit and they are entered into our monthly auction. The breeder receives the same 50/50 split as do all auction items.

There is a point system which is based on degree of difficulty and ease of raising fry. Awarded points accumulate from year to year.

In addition, there is a competitive award for "Breeder of the Year", for the most points accumulated each September to August. The points are only recorded when offspring are auctioned at our monthly meetings and the BAP form has been filled out.

BAP Yearly Report

Thank you to all who participated this year, and congratulations to Chuck Fittz and Tony Pinto who were our top breeders this year. The BAP program is open to all club members, as of late we have not had much participation. Please bring in anything that you might be spawning at the present time so that other club members may attempt to spawn them as well. Increased participation by the members will ensure continued success of the BAP program.
